We offer a variety of flexo plate options including Kodak NX, magnesium engravings, rubber plates
KODAK FLEXCEL NX SYSTEM
What if you could...
- Print smoother, higher-density solids without laying down more ink..
- Print with higher line screens..
- Print high-density white in a single pass..
- Reduce the number of colors per job without sacrificing print quality..
- Reduce press downtime and run presses faster..
- Reduce makeready waste and ink consumption..
YOU CAN with the KODAK FLEXCEL NX System, a complete solution for digital plate making that enables you to push the boundaries of flexo printing. Shelf impact, production efficiency and sustainability... the FLEXCEL NX System delivers it all, with unique imaging technology and innovative materials that enable unprecedented image quality, stability and predictability in prepress and the pressroom.
The KODAK FLEXCEL NX Wide System allows you to take full advantage of the unique benefits that KODAK FLEXCEL NX Plates offer, in sizes up to 1067 x 1524 mm (42 x 60 in). Just like the other imagers in the FLEXCEL NX family, the FLEXCEL NX Wide Imager utilizes the proven KODAK SQUARESPOT Imaging Technology to deliver exceptional image quality and repeatability.
The KODAK SPOTLESS Flexographic Solution builds accurate process recipes using spot color replacement, and is ideal for use with the KODAK FLEXCEL NX System. Together, these powerful solutions enable production cost savings and efficiencies without sacrificing that all-important visual impact of the final product.
KODAK FLEXCEL NX PLATES
KODAK FLEXCEL NX Plates are an important part of the KODAK FLEXCEL NX System. With the FLEXCEL NX System for the first time you can achieve gravure-class print quality on a wide variety of substrates. The secret lies in the dots created on the plates. Using KODAK SQUARESPOT Imaging Technology, dots as small as 10-microns are imaged onto the KODAK FLEXCEL NX Thermal Imaging Layer. Laminating the Thermal Imaging Layer to the FLEXCEL NX Plate eliminates all oxygen between the layer and the plate, allowing stable, full-amplitude, flat top dots to form.
The results are consistent, predictable printing, even of subtle gradations and challenging shadows and highlights.
Highlight and shadow dots as small as 10-microns.
Imaging at up to 9.5 square meters per hour.
Full-amplitude, flat top dots that reduce dot gain and remain constant with over-impression.
Plates enable excellent ink transfer, smooth solids, uniform lay down, robust on-press performance, and excellent ozone resistance.
Typically used to make rubber plates; Other uses would include hot stamping and leather or wood embossing.
PCG is equipped with a full Photo Engraving System.
PCG offers engravings in thicknesses of 16 gauge (.064"), 11 pt (.153") and .250" in any size up to 20" x 24".
PCG can produce magnesium engravings from supplied films or we can plot films from a vectorized art file (please outline all fonts).
To accurately process your order we need the following:
- Negatives, digital art, a sketch, or a sample at 100% finished size.
- Should the engraved image be right or wrong reading?
- Engraving Thickness
- Any milling requirements, including finished trim size or drilling
In addition to photopolymer and magnesium plating, PCG offers natural rubber plates for printing plastic bags, paper and corrugated products. Our rubber plates can be made in any size up to 24" x 40" with thicknesses from .067" - .112".
